Datalex said it has reached an agreement with International Consolidated Airlines Group’s Aer Lingus for a partnership extension, and a deal that will accelerate the airline’s digital retailing strategy.
The Irish digital retail technology company said on Friday that it will provide a new digital transformation platform for Aer Lingus with full access to its product suite, which will drive new product delivery, in addition to accelerating the migration of existing products.
Datalex’s software will support and enhance Aer Lingus’s brand with a digitally enabled value proposition, it said. The contract also stipulates that value will be derived for both companies from a combination of transaction and license models that reflect the value Datalex brings to Aer Lingus.
The two companies also said their partnership has been extended for a further five years.
“This is a milestone in our partnership with Aer Lingus as we provide an extensive digital transformation plan to future-proof one of our longest-standing airline customers for the long haul. With a transaction model now implemented, both companies will now be fully aligned in achieving growth through digital and we will both benefit from this growth,” Chief Executive Officer Sean Corkery said.
