Phoenix Group Holdings said it has appointed Nicholas Lyons as chair with effect from Dec. 1.
The consolidator of life insurance and pensions on Wednesday said that Lyons returns to the role after resigning on Sept. 1, 2022, to take up a one-year term role of Lord Mayor of the City of London beginning in November 2022.
Lyons replaces Alastair Barbour, who will step down from the company following 10 years on the board.
Barbour will remain as a nonexecutive director until Dec. 31 to allow for a suitable handover.
