Recent research from the American College of Financial Services and Allspring Global Investments makes a case that financial advisors can improve retirement readiness for clients. For example, the American College of Financial Services found a gap in a measure of financial well-being among retirees. Advised clients scored 50 out of 100 vs. 41 for the unadvised. Nate Miles, Allspring’s director of retirement, said of his firm’s findings, “Advisors have the experience and tools to help those in or nearing retirement get a clearer picture of what it will take to achieve financial security.”
