Bowman says Fed needs to raise interest rates higher to curb inflation

Federal Reserve Gov. Michelle Bowman said it “will likely be appropriate” to raise interest rates further “because inflation is still too high.”

Bowman said he Fed has seen “considerable progress on lowering inflation,” but more work needs to be done. She make her remarks in a speech to Colorado bankers.
